Mondly is a language learning app created in Romania in 2014 and acquired by Pearson. It teaches dozens of languages through short daily lessons built around useful conversations, vocabulary and grammar, and it can be learned from many native languages, which gives more than a thousand language combinations. Lessons cover practical topics such as travel, work and food, with speech recognition to practise pronunciation and a chatbot for conversation practice. Mondly also offers augmented and virtual reality lessons, kids' content and progress tracking with leaderboards. The app has received recognition in Google Play and the Apple App Store. Free lessons are available, and Mondly Premium unlocks all content through subscriptions or lifetime access.
