Bokun is a booking and channel management platform founded in Iceland in 2012 and now part of Tripadvisor. Tour operators, activity providers and travel agencies use it to manage availability, pricing and bookings for tours, excursions, rentals and experiences. Operators add a booking widget to their own website, accept online payments, and connect their inventory to online travel agencies and resellers, such as Viator and GetYourGuide, so availability stays in sync across channels. Bokun also has a marketplace where operators and agents agree commission and sell each other's products. Reporting, guide scheduling and manifest tools help with daily operations. Plans range from a free tier to paid subscriptions with lower booking fees. For affiliates, Bokun suits tourism business content and software comparisons for tour operators.
