LastPass Description
LastPass is a US password manager launched in 2008. It stores passwords, payment cards, addresses and secure notes in an encrypted vault that syncs across browsers and devices, and fills in logins automatically. A password generator creates strong passwords, and security dashboards flag weak or reused ones and monitor for exposed credentials. Family plans let members share folders, while business plans add admin controls, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication and, more recently, visibility into which SaaS and AI tools employees use, often called shadow IT. LastPass uses a zero-knowledge model, meaning the company cannot read vault contents. Free trials of Premium and Business plans are available without a credit card. For affiliates, LastPass suits security blogs, small business IT guides and password manager comparisons.
